What is casting?

The casting process is a manufacturing method in which a part or component of a desired shape is formed by injecting molten metal into a prefabricated mold cavity and allowing it to cool and solidify. It is one of the oldest and most widely used processes in metalworking, and is suitable for the production of simple parts to complex structural components.

Sand casting

Sand casting is a traditional casting process with sand as the main modeling material, and is one of the most widely used casting methods. Its core principle is: sand particles mixed with binder made of sand mold, the molten metal is poured into the sand cavity, to be cooled and solidified metal, the destruction of the sand mold to remove the castings, and subsequent processing.

Die casting

Die casting is a high-pressure metal casting process, through the molten metal under high pressure quickly injected into the cavity of the precision mold, cooling and solidification to obtain a complex shape, precise size of the metal castings.

Investment casting

Investment casting is a process of manufacturing high-precision, complex-shaped metal castings by means of a meltable model. The core principle: first make a wax mold, dip the wax mold into the refractory slurry, repeatedly coated to form a multi-layer shell, then dewaxing, and then inject the molten metal into the shell, and then break the shell after cooling to get the castings. Characterized by high dimensional accuracy and good surface finish.
